Description
We had the challenge of creating a web 2.0 platform for this online motoring magazine, enabling car owners to share stories and engage with peers through a usable interface heavy on imagery and content.
The site uses a revolutionary upload, cropping tool to maintain the magazine feel in the online world. We had to ensure that each user could contribute using a complex workflow and approval process involving editors, sub-editors and contributors.

Role/Technical Details
I developed this site in a small team, with me and another developer focussed on delivering the entire database build, front-end and highly customised back-end.
We developed a custom MVC PHP site based on Zend Framework with user management and bespoke CMS using SWFUpload and complicated usage of AJAX to ensure the quickest and smoothest user flow through this publishing platform.
Filtered search results were indexed using the Java Lucerne search technology for maximum optimisation and relevance.
